Oak Street Elementary School

Due to budgetary cutbacks, the elementary school offices will be closed for the summer. They will re-open on September 1. If you need to register a new student, please contact the District Registrar at 908-204-2585 ext. 105. Elementary New Family Orientation will be held on September 2, and Open Houses are scheduled for September 3. The work year of the curriculum supervisors was also affected by the budget reductions. They will not be working during the months of July or August, and will return on September 1. We regret that many services formerly available during the summer will not be offered this year.

    At Oak Street School we believe that each child is an individual who learns through a dynamic process. Learning will take place in an enriching, safe and fun environment that will promote individual success while also developing responsible learners and contributing members of a democratic society. Furthermore, we expect our students to use their academic and social skills to meet the challenges and opportunities they will experience living and working in a rapidly changing and diverse society.
