Liberty Corner School

A 2009 School of Character

Due to budgetary cutbacks, the elementary school offices will be closed for the summer.  They will re-open on September 1.  If you need to register a new student, please contact the District Registrar at 908-204-2585 ext. 105.  Elementary New Family Orientation will be held on September 2, and Open Houses are scheduled for September 3.  The work year of the curriculum supervisors was also affected by the budget reductions.  They will not be working during the months of July or August, and will return on September 1.  We regret that many services formerly available during the summer will not be offered this year.

LCS School Philosophy

There are about 610 students in grades K-5 with ethnic, racial, economic, and cultural variations that present numerous opportunities to explore understanding as we celebrate our similarities while recognizing and acknowledging our differences. The recognition of our historic past and the celebration of our future keep us staunchly committed to our mission as we face further changes and challenges. We strive to provide academic excellence along with social assurance as we nurture the emotional well-being of each student. Programs, initiatives, and a rigorous curricula are in place to promote critical thinking, flexibility of attitude and cooperative skills in our students. This will instill a love of learning that will enable them to become assertive, determined individuals who contribute positively to society.
