Announcements
Girls basketball games are cancelled today. JV and Freshman practices begin at 3:00p.m. in the old gym. See Coach Clark during the day about practice.
Mark your calendar for Ridge High’s first Winter Dance Showcase on January 16th at 7:00p.m. in the auditorium. Come enjoy an evening of dance and student choreography. Admission is free.
The Ridge Winter Guard will be holding its first rehearsals tomorrow from 5-7 pm and Friday from 6-9 pm, both in the middle gym. Membership is open to all students regardless of prior color guard or dance experience. Please contact Mr. Olochwoszcz or Ann Kelly for more information.
Period 8 Environmental Science class is holding a change collection contest during 9th period classes to benefit Kiva. The 9th period class that collects the most change wins a pizza party and an opportunity to change the world.
Are you looking for a fun Friday night activity? The Ridge Ice Hockey Association will be hosting a skate night this Friday, January 9, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Bridgewater Sports Arena. Admission is $12 or $15 including skate rental. The Ridge Hockey team will be there to skate with the crowd.
The qualifying test for the January Chem I League competition will be held in room 509 after school this Friday, January 9.
This Saturday evening the JV ice hockey team plays Seton Hall Prep at 5:50pm. The Varsity takes on Montclair Kimberly Academy starting at 8:10pm. In between games will be a "Mites on Ice" Game showcasing Bernards Townships' littlest ice hockey players under age 8. Come out and support your teams!
PSAT results were distributed in English classes December 22. If you did not receive your PSAT results, please see your guidance counselor.
Saturday Detention Procedures - As the winter season begins, a reminder to all students that if school is canceled the Friday of a scheduled Saturday detention, then the Saturday detention is also canceled, and all student detentions are rescheduled. Should the inclement weather arrive on a Saturday morning, please call 204-2585 and select the Saturday Detention Hotline Option 852. For extenuating circumstances, please contact the student's grade-level administrator either via phone or email to reschedule the detention.
Attention All Sophomores and Juniors: We are pleased to be able to offer an online SAT preparation program to any 10 th or 11 th grade student at Ridge High School. This program is developed by the College Board, the company who designs the exam, and allows students to prepare for the SAT at their own pace. Any 10 th or 11 th grade student may obtain their individual access code from Ms Pavlik in Mr. Thompson’s office (Room 613).
